About the Position

Job Title: Rapid Response Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Rapid Response Duration: 6 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Required certifications and experience. Positive, flexible, team-oriented, patient-centered personality. Experienced ED RN comfortable with most commonly seen ED chief complaints as well as care of the trauma patient. Description: This role involves providing urgent medical care in a rapid response capacity. The position requires proficiency in IV insertion, Foley catheter insertion, and NG tube insertion. Assist providers with various emergency department procedures common to the setting. Ability to run point-of-care labs is necessary. Responsible for setup and adjustment of respiratory equipment for patients. Equipment includes cardiac/vital sign monitors in all patient rooms, with all necessary supplies and resources available. Documentation will be completed using the Meditech system. RNs will have support available via phone from the main facility. Scheduled shifts will require working every other weekend. This facility is newly constructed and equipped with the latest technology and equipment. Opportunity to enhance skills in running BiPAP and ventilator equipment. A fully staffed team is being developed for this response setting, providing a collaborative work environment. The unit operates with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, based on acuity. PCTs are scheduled mid-shift to assist with patient care. The focus is on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment.
