We are seeking a Baker to join the team at our busy bakery! In this role, you will prepare a variety of breads and pastries. You will be responsible for opening the bakery in the morning and prepping for the day ahead. The ideal candidate has previous bakery experience and a passion for creating delicious breads and pastries. If you are creative, hardworking, and want to share your tasty creations with customers, wed like to hear from you!
- Baking Excellence
- Measure and shape breads, loaves, and pastries
- Bake, and/or fry prepared items
- Place toppings, decorate pastries and breads
- Training & Support
- Demonstrate proper techniques to new bakers & support staff
- Complete various reports such as production, usage, and waste
- Workspace Environment
- Prepare all needed materials and ingredients
- Receive, stock, & store food in designated storage areas
- Clean, organize & maintain your workspace
- Support team members, where needed
- Previous experience as a baker, pastry chef, or in a similar role is preferred
- Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Food Handlers Certificate preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Team player
- Available for early morning shifts
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
