Ap specialist

We are seeking an AP Specialist for University located in Boston, MA. This role is a sole functional lead position where you will own the entire Accounts Payable lifecycle. Reporting directly to the University Controller, you will be responsible for end-to-end management, from transaction execution to reporting and compliance.

salary: $23 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Workday Management: You will handle all invoice processing, troubleshooting, and workflow delays within Workday Financials.
• Low Volume, High Impact: You will process fewer than 100 invoices per week, focusing on accuracy and process cleanup rather than high-speed data entry.
• Payment Cycles: Manage weekly settlement runs for vendors, employees, and students using Workday and PaymodeX.
• Compliance: You will be responsible for vendor onboarding, W-9 collection, and annual 1099 filings.

Requirements:

• Workday Experience: This is the most important requirement; you must be proficient in the Workday Payables module.
• Experience: At least 5 years of related A/P work.

Independence: Since this is a one-person department, you need to be a self-starter who can work without heavy supervision.
