Accounting Supervisor | AP, AR & General Ledger Full Time Central Islip, NY, US 30+ days ago Requisition ID: 1120 Salary Range: $75,000.00 To $95,000.00 Annually Accounting Supervisor | AP, AR & General Ledger Lead Accounting Operations at a Growing Manufacturing Company Quality Enclosures has been a trusted manufacturer of custom glass and shower enclosure products for over 50 years. We're seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee our daily accounting operations while supporting continuous process improvement and leading a collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing day-to-day accounting responsibilities with leadership, process improvement, and operational support. What You'll Do Supervise the daily operations of the Accounting Department, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, and General Ledger activities. Lead, coach, and support the accounting team while helping develop efficient workflows. Prepare and review account reconciliations and General Ledger activity. Assist the Controller with month-end and year-end close. Monitor daily accounting workflow to ensure accuracy and timely completion of financial activities. Support external audits and maintain strong internal controls. Develop and improve accounting processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and continuous process improvement. Collaborate with other departments to support company operations and financial reporting. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent accounting experience will also be considered. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, account reconciliations, and General Ledger accounting. Experience supervising, training, or leading accounting employees strongly preferred. Experience using ERP systems; Sage 100 experience is a plus. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated follow-through, attention to detail, and the ability to establish priorities and hold work to deadlines.
