- # Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician 5Applylocations: Warren Michigan Plant - Warren, Michigantime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R0471339**Job Details:**Join our team as a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include:* Performing physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.* Documenting and calculating results accurately.* Taking corrective action, when necessary, such as alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.* Handling additional assignments as requested.**Working Conditions*** Environment: Normal for a food manufacturing setting.* Physical Requirements: Involves lifting materials and products up to 70 pounds.* Safety Equipment: Use of steel-toed work boots, hardhats, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), and smocks is required.* Restrictions: Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.**Requirements*** Education: High school diploma or GED.* Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in the food manufacturing industry OR related Quality Assurance type experience.* Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.**Special Skills:*** SAP experience Preferred.* Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.* Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.* Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.* Math and organizational skills.* Ability to read and interpret product specifications.* Must function well under stress.* Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.**Physical Requirements:*** Position involves heavy lifting (50 lbs. or more).* Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 12 hours per day* Must work in cold/hot temperatures* Must be able to work in wet environment* Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing and pulling* Must be able to reach high and low levels, frequently* Ability to climb step ladders and or stairs* Must be able to work overtime and weekends* Position will require Lock Out Tag Out certification**Position Specific Requirements:*** Must reside in the United States to be considered.* Sponsorship is not available for this position.**Local candidates will be given priority.**Join us and be part of a team that values safety, quality, and excellence.
