Security Staff - Part Time - All ShiftsConner Prairie Museum - Fishers, IN 46038OverviewPosition Type: Part Time Job Shift: Any Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Category: OtherDescriptionPrincipal Function: The Security Desk Attendant is responsible for monitoring all security systems on site, responding quickly and appropriately as the situation warrants, thereby promoting safety and security at Conner Prairie.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include, but are not limited to:Monitor all security camera images closely throughout entire shift.Complete security logbooks accurately and promptly on all alarms.Respond to fire and security alarms immediately and accordingly to established protocol.Monitor weather conditions and follow protocols for informing staff of hazards.Approach questionable situations with caution, never placing self in danger. Use appropriate authorities (Fire, Police, and Ambulance) as necessary.Position may require safety and security duties on the grounds during daily operations and special events and festivals.Patrol and monitor Conner Prairie buildings, exhibits, and outdoor areasRespond quickly and effectively to emergencies, alarms and medical incidentsEducation and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required.Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsQualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty according to the requirements of the organization. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.Conner Prairie is generally open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, this position may be required to work evening and or night hours to include holidays and weekends.
