The Role A Presidio Digital Services Principal Architect, Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS), leads presales discovery, analysis, architecture, design, proposals, and scope‑of‑work creation, translating customer requirements into outcome‑focused solutions through direct client engagement with HCLS accounts. Leveraging business acumen and technical expertise, this client‑facing role operates at the intersection of sales, delivery engineering, and customer executives to propose solutions that are desirable, feasible, and viable for Presidio. Responsibilities Drive Digital Services Sales. In partnership with sales teams, formulate and execute a technical sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives across application modernization, development, AI, and data platform modernization. Understand Customer Current State. Proactively discover and understand customer IT current state, goals, outcomes, and initiatives; develop and lead workshops to drive relevant discovery. Technical Opportunity Leadership. Lead opportunities for relevant services, create technical solution approaches, and coordinate Presidio technical resources. Practice Delivery Engagement. Act as a bridge between sales and delivery engineering to ensure feasible, realistic proposals that align with execution. Solution Architecture, Design and Documentation. Analyze client requirements, determine target services, and deliver compelling technical proposals, including diagrams and trade‑off analysis. Technical Excellence & Evangelism. Maintain technical excellence across solution architecture areas, including emerging AI‑driven practices, and partner with delivery teams. Account Leadership. Participate in client account activities such as account planning, executive briefings, and strategic workshops. Team Engagement and Enable Culture. Engage team members, contribute to collaboration tools, and steward core values. Partner Relationships. Develop relationships with vendor partners, prioritizing hyper‑saler cloud solutions and contributing to partner GTM strategies. Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Plan growth and career development, refine presales processes, and stay current on internal practices. Enable Others. Mentor and enable others in sales and presales, sharing methods and lessons learned. Required Skills and Professional Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (including military experience). 10+ years in digital/cloud solution delivery and consulting , including 7+ years in architecture/solution design and 5+ years hands‑on with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) . Hands‑on experience with modern app and data stacks (e.g., microservices, event‑driven or serverless architectures; Snowflake, Databricks, or equivalent). Extreme ownership, grit, and resilience; comfortable shaping ambiguous opportunities into structured pursuits. Strong consultative presales aptitude with a context‑first, problem‑framing approach. Demonstrated executive presence with comfortable leading presentations and solution discussions with C‑level stakeholders. Deep background in software and/or data engineering—building, shipping, refactoring code or data designs, and mentoring specialists. Track record in presales or principal architect roles bridging sales and delivery, driving technical win, and shaping realistic scopes of work. Demonstrated use of AI and automation in the SDLC or data workflows. Preferred Skills and Professional Experience Architect‑level certifications with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience building GenAI and agentic solutions (e.g., RAG pipelines, LLM‑based applications, multi‑agent orchestration). Experience writing SOWs and proposals, including RFP/RFI responses for complex digital, data, and AI programs. Background in Healthcare and Life Sciences with practical awareness of HIPAA/PHI, GxP/21 CFR Part 11, and FHIR/HL7/EHR integrations.
