Mortgage Loss Mitigation Specialist

Iowa Bankers Insurance & Services, Inc. seeks a Mortgage Loss Mitigation Specialist to support community banks in managing delinquent mortgage and consumer loan portfolios. In this hybrid role, you’ll review distressed accounts, analyze borrower and collateral data, and recommend compliant loss mitigation strategies, including repayment plans, modifications, and forbearance options. You will collaborate closely with client banks, insurers, and internal teams to ensure adherence to investor and regulatory requirements while minimizing losses and preserving borrower relationships. Responsibilities include detailed case documentation, portfolio reporting, and contributing to process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in mortgage risk, compliance, and insurance within a collaborative, mission-focused financial services organization serving Iowa’s banking community.
