Quantitative Researcher for AI Model Training [Remote]

Apply your STEM domain expertise to help train and evaluate next-generation AI systems by demonstrating how AI coding agents solve real, complex technical problems. This remote contractor role focuses on documenting advanced, scenario-based workflows using AI tools, analyzing and modifying large codebases, debugging, and producing clear written deliverables that improve model reasoning and problem solving.

• Demonstrate and document advanced technical workflows that leverage AI coding agents, with emphasis on tools such as Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork.
• Analyze large codebases, debug complex issues, and develop or propose novel features, using AI agents to assist in sequential code generation and architectural changes.
• Provide detailed, scenario-based explanations of your process and decisions, including step-by-step breakdowns, outcomes, and rationale suitable for training and evaluation purposes.
• Explain solutions and code behavior clearly, producing high-quality technical documentation and examples that can be used to refine AI model reasoning.
• Participate in virtual discussions or feedback sessions to share insights and approaches with project stakeholders and help improve evaluation criteria.
• Contribute structured input designed to improve AI models’ problem solving and decision-making in STEM contexts.

• Required skills: experience with Codex, Claude Science, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork; technical documentation; debugging; analyzing large codebases; feature development; architectural decision making; problem solving; AI coding agents; written and verbal communication; scenario-based analysis; code explanation.
• Preferred: current STEM professional with hands-on experience applying AI coding agents within technical workflows.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous or open-ended technical problems using AI agent tools and to distill complex processes into clear, educational outputs for model training.

• Pay rate: $80.00 to $100.00 per hour.

• No prior experience in AI is required; domain knowledge in STEM is the primary qualification.
