Energy Conversion Systems EGMEnergy Conversion Systems (ECS) at General Motors is a fast-paced team that is working on developing and executing propulsion technology. This role is within the Energy Conversion Sensing & Distribution Hardware organization, specifically for High Voltage Distribution and Sensing. We are creating leading-edge propulsion hardware (across engine, transmission, drive unit and RESS components) that provide industry leading performance and customer value for current and future GM Vehicles.We are seeking highly motivated, forward thinking, innovative, high performing people leaders with a balance of strategic and tactical skills to join this dynamic environment and help move us forward to achieve GM's Zero, Zero, Zero vision. This position is for a first-level people leader EGM (Engineering Group Manager) and you would lead a team responsible for hardware design and release within ECS.This EGM will lead the team that releases GM's high voltage distribution and sensing hardware. This includes Battery Disconnect Units (BDUs), junction boxes, high voltage fuse boxes, high voltage headers, and current/voltage sensing hardware for our electrified portfolio. Day to day, the role translates company and propulsion strategy into a clear technology roadmap that ensures robust system and component designs and drives issue resolution on current and future programs with urgency and discipline. The EGM partners closely with the propulsion program teams, safety, manufacturing, purchasing and key suppliers to balance performance, quality, timing, and cost, while proactively managing risk in a fast-evolving EV landscape.
