Position Overview
Anakim Consulting is expanding our team supporting a large federal agency. Our Security Specialists provide broad technical and operational cybersecurity expertise across enterprise security domains. This role supports security operations, risk mitigation, technical compliance, and architecture reviews. Security Specialists are responsible for designing, deploying, and evaluating technical security controls, conducting vulnerability assessments, participating in incident response, and driving security automation initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Security Operations and Engineering: Design, install, configure, and maintain technical security mechanisms, tools, and defenses across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
- Assessment and Testing: Conduct technical security evaluations, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing oversight, and security control validations.
- Incident Response and Investigation: Investigate security incidents, policy violations, and anomalous activity; analyze root causes and execute containment and remediation measures.
- Architecture and Automation: Participate in security architecture reviews, identify security gaps, and design automation workflows to streamline security operations.
- Documentation and Technical Advice: Develop operational security procedures, technical baseline documentation, and security guidance for engineering and operational teams.
