Job Overview

Seeking reliable and hardworking Communications Technicians to join a growing data center team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in the low-voltage and data center industry. No experience is required, and candidates with trade school backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

• Install work area outlets for floors, walls, and modular furniture environments.
• Route and install low-voltage cabling using fish tape and other cable-pulling methods.
• Organize, dress, label, and prepare cables for termination.
• Install and support cabling using cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze systems.
• Build and install telecommunications closets, including racks, patch panels, backboards, cross-connects, and fiber optic hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required.
• Perform fire-stopping procedures, install sleeves, and pull cables through wall penetrations.
• Terminate low-voltage devices and connectivity hardware.
• Test newly installed or relocated cabling to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Assist with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cable infrastructure.
• Install cable support structures, routers, network devices, and related technology equipment.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and on time, including timesheets, work orders, material transfers, and change orders.
• Follow all company, customer, and industry safety and quality standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This project is expected to last 2-3 months. After completion, technicians must be willing to travel to support other data center sites, primarily in Atlanta, GA, and Virginia.

Entry Level

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
