RN – Charge Nurse | Medical/Surgical Oncology

BayCare Health System is seeking an experienced RN – Charge Nurse to join the Medical/Surgical Oncology unit at Winter Haven Hospital. This role is ideal for a strong clinical leader who is passionate about oncology care, patient advocacy, and team development.

The RN Charge Nurse provides clinical and operational leadership for the unit, serving as a role model, preceptor, and clinical resource while ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for oncology patients.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting nursing staff during assigned shifts
• Serving as charge nurse and preceptor
• Promoting professional growth, collaboration, and evidence-based practice
• Communicating organizational priorities and unit goals

Requirements include:

• Active Florida RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing

Preferred:

• Prior charge or leadership experience
• Oncology experience or specialty certification

• Shift: Days (Shift 1)
• Shift Hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Weekend: Every other
• On Call: No
• Remote Work: Never
