HIRING LINE COOKS I – Lake Nona, FL

CD Staffing is a privately owned Professional & Hospitality staffing firm with office locations in Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. We have immediate full-time openings for Lake Nona, FL. The Payrate will be DOE between $16-19 per hour. Open Availability Required

Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug test. Must Have a Valid Driver License

Job Requirements and Responsibilities

Food Preparation: Chop vegetables, butcher meat, slice ingredients, and prep sauces ( mise en place ) before service.
Cooking and Execution: Operate equipment like grills, fryers, and sautés to cook proteins and dishes to proper temperatures.
Plating and Timing: Plate food neatly to chef specifications and time orders so all items for a table finish together.
Station Maintenance: Clean and sanitize work areas, restock inventory, and properly store or label leftover food.
Communication: Coordinate smoothly with servers, prep cooks, and lead chefs during rushes

You will be responsible for accurately and efficiently preparing meats, fish, vegetables, soups and other hot food products as well as preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu item plates. You will learn and execute client’s new recipes and serve as a senior-ranking Cook in the kitchen, providing coaching and guidance to junior-level cooks.
