Registered Nurse – Cardiac

Schedule

3 x 12-hour night shifts per week.

Assignment Details

Typical patient ratio of 1:5–6.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience.
• Current state or compact nursing license required upon submission.
• Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS.
• Experience in cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Skills in post-cardiac surgery and post-cardiac catheterization care.
• Knowledge of central line/PICC/port care and IV maintenance.
• Proficiency in management of vasoactive drips (no titration).
• Experience with non-invasive airways and tracheostomy care.
• Familiarity with the Epic charting system.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients recovering from cardiac interventions.
• Monitor patient conditions and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and health management.
• Perform timely documentation of patient assessments and care interventions.
