Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Perform IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Operate and monitor unit equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse ox machines, PCA pumps, feeding pumps, EKG machines, and bladder scanners
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Deliver attentive, compassionate care through bedside shift report and patient/family-inclusive care planning
• Adhere to floating policy; contract labor is first to float on a rotation basis when multiple contract staff are scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Availability to work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required as dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Neuro Med/Surg setting
• Familiarity with Meditech documentation system
• Experience working in a Comprehensive Stroke or Trauma-certified facility
