Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract school psychologist in a supportive educational environment near Sterling Heights, MI. Enjoy a flexible contract position for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year, with onsite work across either three elementary buildings or two middle schools. The position offers a schedule of 20-30 hours per week, allowing you to support students and collaborate with engaged educational staff, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings, preferably with elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong skills in assessment, counseling, consultation, and intervention
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt practices to support diverse students’ needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and indirect support to students, teachers, and families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral issues
- Participate in problem-solving teams and ongoing professional development
- Serve as an advocate for students' psychological and educational needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines
