Essen is currently seeking Orthopedic Physician Assistants and Orthopedic Nurse Practitioners. Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose fractures using clinical evaluation and imaging studies
• Administer non-surgical fracture reductions
• Monitor and manage the healing process, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Perform joint aspirations to diagnose conditions such as joint effusions or infections
• Administer intra-articular injections for pain relief and inflammation reduction using ultrasound
• Apply casts, splints, or orthopedic bracing to stabilize and immobilize various musculoskeletal conditions
• Ensure proper alignment and immobilization of injured body parts
• Review and interpret X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging studies
• Collaborate with radiologists and orthopedic surgeons to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment
• Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation
• Ability to provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth and meet patient volume goals targeted for tele and in patient as determined

Qualifications

• 6 months of outpatient experience as an Orthopedic Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner/FNP/APRN/Physician Assistant/PA)
• 6 months of experience with bracing, casting, splinting, and injections
• Education Requirements: Masters Degree preferred
• NY State NP License
• License Requirements: Drug Enforcement Administration
• Salary: $130,000-$145,000
