Production Maintenance Technician II
$22.45 - $44.85 per hourAbbott
Abbott seeks a Production Maintenance Technician II for its Scarborough, Maine facility to perform routine and complex equipment repairs across multiple maintenance trades. The role involves troubleshooting production equipment, conducting preventive maintenance, and collaborating with production teams on the second shift rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead routine, periodic, and special equipment inspections to identify repairs and prevent breakdowns
- Perform production equipment changeovers as scheduled or directed by shift supervisor
- Conduct preventive maintenance documentation and communicate with production and engineering teams
- Respond to alarm and trouble calls and maintain floor presence to support production goals
- Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate with outside service contractors as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent work and education combination
- 3+ years of related maintenance experience in similar role
- Hands-on electro-mechanical repair, rebuild, and field service experience
- Familiarity with formal preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to interpret blueprints, equipment manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Compensation: $22.45–$44.85/hour
