We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Scientific industry. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your accounting expertise in a fast-paced and innovative scientific environment. As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization by managing our day-to-day accounting operations. You will be responsible for handling billing, invoices, preparing income statements and balance sheets, and managing accruals. Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
2. Prepare and send invoices, ensuring timely payments.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
4. Conduct regular ledger procedures and manage accruals.
5. Assist in budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
7. Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
8. Interact with other team members to ensure all financial data aligns and reconciles.
9. Participate in the ongoing development and implementation of financial best practices.
10. Perform other related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an accounting role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel.
4. Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
5. Proven expertise in handling billing, invoices, income statements, balance sheets, and accruals.
6. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
8. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. CPA certification would be a plus.
