Hotel Banquet Server. The Marriott Columbia is looking for responsible and motivated service professionals to join its banquet team. This is a PART TIME position. Hours vary based of events. Weekends are a must. As a Banquet Server, you would be responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Responsibilities: Assist with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area. Relay banquet requests to the appropriate person. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices. Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed customer service expectations. Maintain composure in a fast-paced environment. Relay important information about orders, allergies and special requests to the appropriate person. Respond urgently and appropriately to any concerns. Present in professional appearance and mannerisms. Requirements: Must be 18 years old. Banquet experience preferred but not required. Training and willingness to continue learning about banquet function success. Exceptional listening and communication skills. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods. Availability to work around peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. A polite, engaging personality. Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
