Cardiology - Interventional Physician

Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours plus call only

Practice Setting: Outpatient, Inpatient
Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Admissions: Yes, required
Support Staff: 6 APP- 6 PA
Board Certification: Required
License: Active LA medical license or IMLC
Patient volume: 20 mins slot per patient, 3 patients per hour
Admissions Required: No
Rounding: Both

Position Overview:
Seeking Non-Invasive Cardiologists for full-time locum tenens work with a preference for long-term commitment. Minimum availability: 3 weeks per month.

Practice Setting:

• Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital coverage
  
• Clinic: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
  
• Physicians will manage their own patient panel
  
  

Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient (Hospital Rotation every 5 6 weeks):

• Inpatient care and rounding
  
• Cardiology consults
  
• Multidisciplinary rounds
  
• Communication with referring providers
  
• Reading hospital diagnostic studies during service week
  

Outpatient (When Not on Hospital Service):

• Clinic 5 days per week (Mon Fri)
  
• One weekly clinic reading day
  
• Patient visits and follow-ups
  
• Review of diagnostic studies
  
• Coordination with imaging/testing teams
  

Note: Clinic reading day is reassigned during hospital service weeks.

Additional Requirements:

• Active supervising license required
  
• Will supervise Physician Assistants
  
• Team-based environment
