Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit Unit Information Unit: PC2 Progressive Care Location: Aurora, CO Number of Beds: 345 - 3-time Magnet Designation Staffing: Float pool of approximately 80 staff members Patient Ratios: 1:5 during day and night shifts, which may vary between units Type of Equipment: Various medical equipment Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech Job Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs. Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and policies. Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Maintain patient safety and compliance with healthcare regulations. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 1 year of current acute care experience in a Progressive Care Unit. Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale. Preferred: Experience with Meditech software. Chemo certification to provide care on the Oncology unit. Personality Fit Flexibility and willingness to float across units. Team player with a demonstrated capacity for compassion. Desire for continuous learning and willingness to care for diverse patient populations with both acute and chronic conditions.
