Location Spencer-Avera Medical Group Work Details Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America) Position Highlights: 8:00am-5:00pm, occasional weekends. May be eligible for a $6000 sign‑on bonus. Pay Range: $22.50 – $41.25 per hour (dependent on experience). RN: $27.75–$41.25, LPN: $22.50–$31.50. Job Summary Provides for the delivery of professional nursing care under the direction of the provider. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing. Active license required at hire. Responsibilities Perform general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Coordinate patient care activities for the clinic. Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing. Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider. Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintain timely flow of patients. Greet patients and prepare them for physical examination. Screen patients for appropriate information including obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment. Document obtained information in patient chart. Instruct patient in collection of samples and tests. Respond to patient phone calls timely with appropriate input from the physician. Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness. Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints. Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Ensure cleanliness. Prepare list of medical supplies needed. Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed. Perform quality control and maintain records on all lab testing. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing; active license in the state of practice upon hire. LPN – Licensed Practical Nurse; active license required. Visual acuity adequate to perform the position duties. Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
