Certified Apartment Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily apartment community in the Baltimore, MD area. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with extensive onsite property management experience and a strong understanding of all aspects of assistant property management operations.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional organizational skills, and can confidently assist with the daily management of an apartment community.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community
Manage resident relations and provide exceptional customer service
Process rental applications, lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out documentation
Collect rent payments and follow up on delinquent accounts
Maintain accurate resident files and property records
Assist with budgeting, reporting, and financial documentation
Handle resident concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
Support leasing efforts and occupancy goals
Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders
Ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing regulations, and property procedures
Prepare notices, correspondence, and reports as needed
Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous Assistant Property Manager experience is REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of ALL Assistant Property Manager responsibilities and functions
Must have onsite multifamily apartment community experience
Experience with rent collections, resident relations, lease administration, and property operations
Strong understanding of Fair Housing guidelines
Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, Entrata, etc.)
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
