Assistant Property Manager

Certified Apartment Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily apartment community in the Baltimore, MD area. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with extensive onsite property management experience and a strong understanding of all aspects of assistant property management operations.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has exceptional organizational skills, and can confidently assist with the daily management of an apartment community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Property Manager with the daily operations of the community
- Manage resident relations and provide exceptional customer service
- Process rental applications, lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out documentation
- Collect rent payments and follow up on delinquent accounts
- Maintain accurate resident files and property records
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and financial documentation
- Handle resident concerns and resolve issues professionally and efficiently
- Support leasing efforts and occupancy goals
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, fair housing regulations, and property procedures
- Prepare notices, correspondence, and reports as needed
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous Assistant Property Manager experience is REQUIRED
- Strong knowledge of ALL Assistant Property Manager responsibilities and functions
- Must have onsite multifamily apartment community experience
- Experience with rent collections, resident relations, lease administration, and property operations
- Strong understanding of Fair Housing guidelines
- Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi, OneSite, RealPage, Entrata, etc.)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
