About This Role The Staff Nurse in the Phillips Ambulatory Surgery PACU at Mount Sinai Union Square is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care. This role is ideal for nurses who are dedicated to patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Highlights Pay: $61.83/hour Location: New York, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Union Square Department/Unit: Phillips Ambulatory Surgery PACU Schedule: Full-Time, 10:45am-7pm, Monday-Friday What You'll Do Conduct nursing assessments based on patient interviews, examinations, and record reviews. Ensure patient progress is documented in progress notes and revised care plans. Plan discharges consistent with patient status and inter-departmental communication. Communicate information to patients based on their awareness and readiness to learn. Support the orientation of new staff by providing feedback and acting as a preceptor. Function as a professional role model and mentor for students and volunteers. Organize patient care assignments reflecting patient needs and personnel skill levels. Communicate patient conditions requiring additional intervention to leadership. Participate in the development of other staff members. Reflect collaborative efforts in meeting patient and unit needs through communication. Requirements Education Graduation from an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience Required to have PACU or ICU experience.
