Minimum Qualifications Master's, or equivalent foreign degree, in the category of disability, special education, education, psychology, educational psychology or rehabilitation counseling, and 15 semester units of upper division or graduate study in deaf and hearing impaired. This position is a part-time faculty teaching assignment with the following salary rates: Part-Time/Adjunct Salary Schedule (Degree and years of acceptable teaching experience determine step placement). Verification of prior employment (teaching or work experience) may be needed to determine minimum qualifications met. Compensation Placement on the District's Faculty Salary Schedule is dependent upon years of experience and level of education. Entry-level rates range up to $98.98 per hour for lectures and $74.24 per hour for lab/counselor work, with a highest salary attainable of $127.21 (lecture) / $95.41 (lab/counselor) per hour. Employees are members of the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS). Sick leave and other leaves are available according to the collective bargaining agreement.
