Senior Regional Philanthropy Officer – South Florida Region (Miami & Ft. Lauderdale) We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Regional Philanthropy Officer to manage an assigned portfolio of current and prospective donors in the South Florida Region. The incumbent will identify, engage, cultivate, solicit, and steward regional donors, meet a monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goal of $750,000, and serve as a resource for less experienced team members to ensure consistent and effective implementation of donor development plans. Responsibilities Work with the local fundraising team to develop and execute an ongoing regional strategy for qualifying corporate donors to ensure retention, growth of donor contributions, and recapture from previous donors. Collaborate with other departments and fundraising staff to create customized solicitation strategies that match the organization’s objectives and donor interests. Solicit assigned donor portfolios through face‑to‑face visits and virtual meetings, including preparation of personalized materials. Meet personal annual revenue targets by working with an assigned portfolio of donors and prospects. Implement a program to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward $10,000+ donors, maximizing revenue for the American Red Cross. Maintain donor records within our database management tool (Salesforce). Assist donors in giving meaning to their contributions for the American Red Cross. Blend work‑from‑home, in‑person donor meetings, and in‑office time. Participate in disaster relief fundraising projects as appropriate. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree required. An advanced degree is highly desirable. Experience: Minimum 7 years of sales and/or fundraising experience, or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Proven experience in developing strategies for donor retention growth and recapture is required. Skills & Abilities: Relate well and work effectively with multiple constituencies and audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of office systems: MS‑Office and fundraising database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce.com). Work on a team within a collaborative environment and maintain a high customer service orientation. Current valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Travel: Frequent travel within the Region is required. Competitive Edge Excellent interpersonal skills. Commitment to the cause and adaptability. Non‑profit fundraising expertise in the Miami or Ft. Lauderdale market.
