Medical Assistant

Schedule: Days, 8 hours M-F, Shifts Vary Between 7am-5pm / 40 Hours per Week

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent (i.e., GED)
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization
• Previous experience in a clinical setting
• Current BLS Certification

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Manage customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of customers.
• Perform clinical and clerical tasks to assist with customer management, including standard rooming processes, administering immunizations and injections, and performing laboratory specimen collection.
• Facilitate communication between customers and providers, and provide telephone support as needed.
• Assist with prescription refills and perform x-ray duties if qualified.
• Order and stock supplies, and assist with prior authorizations as necessary.

Compliance / Notes:

Must state Active Minnesota/PN license at time of submission for LPN candidates.
