** Location: Warrenville, IL **
** Pay Range: $28/HR-$30/HR **

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged on the search for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join our client in the hospitality and food service industry on a contract basis. Located in Warrenville, IL , the Accounts Payable Accountant will report directly to the CFO and work alongside a collaborative accounting and operations team. This role is open due to a temporary leave coverage need and is expected to last approximately 12–16 weeks. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and begin immediately.
** Accounts Payable Accountant Responsibilities: **
- Process and manage accounts payable invoices through a shared AP inbox (approximately 30–50 invoices daily)
- Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
- Enter financial information and invoices into QuickBooks Desktop
- Review and maintain Excel reports to support accounting operations and reporting needs
- Review and approve POS transactions within the company’s restaurant management system
- Enter payroll journal entries and support payroll-related accounting functions
- Assist with food cost analysis and reporting
- Perform reconciliations and support general accounting activities
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and accounting questions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation where applicable
- Other duties as assigned
** Accounts Payable Accountant Qualifications: **
- 2+ years of accounts payable and general accounting experience
- Experience with month-end close responsibilities
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop preferred
- Advanced Excel skills including v-lookups, pivot tables, and formulas
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Process improvement or automation experience is a plus
