Outbound Associate (Warehouse with Forklift Operation) Job Description

As an Outbound Associate in the warehouse, you will be responsible for unloading, organizing, and preparing outbound shipments. This role requires operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to handle inventory efficiently and safely. You will work closely with the shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, load, and unload inventory materials.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outbound shipments according to order specifications.
• Ensure accurate labeling, sorting, and staging of products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections on equipment and follow OSHA safety guidelines.
• Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily outbound shipping targets.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift certification/license required.
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment:

This position involves active movement within a warehouse setting, operating forklifts and handling inventory. The role requires adherence to safety procedures and may involve working in a noisy environment with exposure to warehouse equipment.
