POSITION SUMMARY Supports the YMCA of the Rockies mission by leading major gift development, advancing strategic goals through a comprehensive financial development program that attracts, cultivates, solicits, and steward donors. Responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual donors, creating a robust major gift pipeline, building relationships, and supporting planned giving. Works closely with senior leadership and programmatic staff. The organization promotes healthy living, youth development, and community impact across its properties outside Rocky Mountain National Park. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Portfolio Management & Major Gift Solicitation: manage portfolio of 100+ major donors, develop strategic cultivation and solicitation plans, personally close gifts at appropriate levels. Donor Stewardship: design and implement stewardship strategies, maintain consistent contact via meetings, phone, email, and print correspondence. Programmatic Collaboration: stay informed on programs and industry trends; collaborate with senior leadership to align campaign priorities and involve colleagues in donor engagement. Knowledge Management & CRM Integrity: maintain accurate and timely contact reports and activity records in Raisers Edge NXT. Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS Progressive fundraising experience in nonprofit sector; CFRE certification or master’s degree in Nonprofit Management preferred. 7+ years of fundraising experience, including closing seven‑figure gifts. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to draft proposals and communicate with high‑net‑worth individuals. Entrepreneurial, goal‑oriented, strong initiative and detail orientation. Diplomacy, tact, independence in managing complex donor situations. Proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and wealth research tools. Valid USA state‑issued driver’s license, compliant with YMCA driving rules. Ability to travel within Colorado Front Range and occasionally elsewhere. High integrity and confidentiality; excellent relationship management skills. Commitment to YMCA mission. Pass criminal background check standards. Other duties as assigned. WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS Primarily in an office setting using computers, phones, and printers. Must move around property, attend meetings and events, and travel to other YMCA centers. Requires clear communication, ability to remain stationary for extended periods, occasional bending, reaching, and lifting of light materials. May work evenings or weekends.
