Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract role supporting an individual student as a valued paraprofessional or substitute teacher. This full-time opportunity covers 30 hours each week, running from now through June 5, 2026. Your expertise and compassion will make a real impact as you work 1:1 with a special education student across grade levels, from elementary to high school.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or substitute teacher in a school setting
- Experience supporting students in grades K-12, with adaptability to varying instructional needs
- Comfortable with 1:1 support, especially with pediatric and special education populations
- Ability to communicate clearly with students, teachers, and families
- Collaborative team player who can support classroom teachers while maintaining student focus
- Understanding of confidentiality and student privacy practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with a special education student to foster academic and social growth
- Implement educational and behavioral support strategies as directed by instructional staff
- Assist with classroom activities and individualized curriculum modifications
- Track student progress and communicate observations to the teaching team
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment throughout the school day
