AWS Technical Writer

To support a DoD program, the fully remote AWS Technical Writer will create, maintain, and improve technical documentation for a complex IT environment, collaborating with engineers and system administrators to ensure clarity and accuracy. Key responsibilities Develop and maintain technical documentation including user guides, SOPs, and API documentation Collaborate with engineers and SMEs to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy Document system configurations and operational workflows while maintaining version-controlled documentation Required qualifications 7-9 years of experience producing technical documentation for IT systems or software development Experience documenting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments and system administration procedures Familiarity with AWS cloud services and hands-on documentation experience with EC2 Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence or SharePoint Active Top Secret clearance required
