BMS Project Manager

Key Responsibilities Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan. Lead the project team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget. Collaborate with resource managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team. Manage resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements. Manage subcontractors to deliver high‑quality deliverables and installation on schedule. Manage the timely resolution of issues, including the escalation of issues that are outside of the project team’s scope of responsibility. Continuously identify and proactively manage project risks and opportunities, ensure execution of corrective action plans up to closure. Coordinate and direct project closure to customer. Prepare and deliver final project closure and documentation to customers and ensure final payment. Manage project change‑order and issue logs. Monitor the project and report the project status to leadership on a regular basis. Review and approve all team project submittals. Reporting This position reports to the Senior Project Manager. Skills and Capabilities Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or an equivalent engineering discipline. A master’s degree is desired. A degree in finance or business is also acceptable. Minimum of four years’ work experience in managing BMS, HVAC, industrial controls/automation, or similar discipline projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or similar); experience with Smartsheets is a plus. Previous work experience as a lead automation/controls engineer is desired. Previous experience in the commercial office and manufacturing market is desired. Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure BAS solution is desired. Must be able to travel 15% of the time.
