Scholarship Program Support Specialist

GTSC seeks a Scholarship Program Support Specialist will serve as the on-site team lead for the F. Hollings Undergraduate Ernest Scholarship Program. This person will support the student scholarship application, administrative review, and selection processes. This position is contingent upon contract being awarded. Primary duties include working with NOAA Security Office to issue badges for scholars, drafting and preparing correspondence for the Scholarships Program Managers' signature, providing guidance support for junior contractor staff on the team, maintaining time and attendance and leave calendar for scholarship support contractors, reviewing scholarship support contractor's reports for accuracy, maintaining internship and mentor spreadsheets for an estimated 125-150 scholars, assisting Program Managers where needed and filling in for Program Managers during vacation times, travel etc., conducting other education and outreach activities in support of the education and scholarship programs, as needed, and submitting content for Office of Education social media and web presence.

Required education/experience/skills include a bachelor's degree in communications, education, or similar field and 6-8 years of experience. Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements.
