Shipping & Warehouse Associate

Position Summary

This position is responsible for fulfilling customer orders by ensuring parts are properly cleaned, painted, packaged, weighed, labeled, and prepared for on-time shipment in accordance with company standards and carrier requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Process and fulfill customer, dealer, and OEM orders accurately and efficiently
• Track shipments and prepare completed orders for carrier pickup
• Move finished orders to designated loading areas and assist with loading shipping trucks
• Unpack, sort, organize, and store products using 5S and Lean manufacturing practices
• Perform inventory checks, cycle counts, and inspect parts for quality and quantity accuracy
• Select appropriate packaging materials based on product size, weight, and shipping destination
• Build, tape, and prepare boxes using approved packaging materials and branded tape
• Use proper filler materials and dunnage to prevent shipping damage
• Coordinate with the paint department to ensure products meet customer specifications
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times
• Shrink-wrap and bag pallets containing large parts for shipment and delivery
• Accurately weigh packages and apply shipping labels and documentation
• Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures
• Participate in cross-training and perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or package distribution preferred

Skills & Knowledge

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn shipping software systems
• Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Willingness to assist in areas outside normal daily responsibilities when needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely navigate warehouse environments and work around equipment and inventory
• Frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
