What’s a typical day as Installer? You’ll be: Installing ceramic-fiber blanket and board inside welded steel oven cabinets and combustion chambers. Measuring, cutting, and fitting two-layer 2,300°F-rated ceramic-fiber blankets to walls, ceilings, and doors. Pinning, stud-welding, or mechanically fastening insulation, ensuring tight seams without gaps or voids. Fitting and seating tadpole gaskets at door openings and cam-lock sealing surfaces. Cutting openings for burner ports, thermocouples, stack penetrations, and access points. Verifying layer thickness and full coverage while maintaining material integrity. Handling and storing ceramic-fiber materials to prevent damage. Managing fiber scrap and dust, keeping the work area clean and organized. Wearing required PPE at all times and reporting defects, shortages, or drawing discrepancies. This Job Might Be An Outstanding Fit If You Can accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch and use basic arithmetic including fractions. Are able to lift 50 lbs regularly, and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Are comfortable working inside oven cabinets and can stand, kneel, and reach for a full shift. Are able to work around airborne insulation particles and in a loud warehouse environment. Can consistently wear a mask, gloves, and eye protection for extended periods. Have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
