Physical Requirements


This position requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for extended periods of time. Lifting and positioning patients may also be required.

Shift


Flexible day shift Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. Rotational on-call is required.

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our outstanding Nuclear Medicine Team at the University of Kentucky Healthcare . This specialized area delivers exceptional Nuclear Medicine services to our valued patients across the University of Kentucky Healthcare System.

Your Role as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist

• Provide Nuclear Medicine procedures/therapy in a safe, efficient manner according to departmental, hospital, state and federal guidelines.
• Manage patient throughput, quality control, inventory, equipment evaluation and calibration, billing accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Execute diagnostic studies and interventional procedures following policies/procedures for radiation and patient safety.
• Effectively communicate using strong attention to detail for excellent customer service and technological proficiency.

New Starting Pay Rate - The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted based on current demand for this role. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $31.14/hour. Preferred Education/Experience


Degree from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program with training in Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT preferred.
