WARRANTY COORDINATOR

Job Title

This position is responsible for coordinating all material, labor, and documentation for homeowner service appointments.

Essential Job Functions

• Enter warranty order in JDE.
• Ensure material arrival according to service date.
• Schedule installer and/or Service Technician to service appointment.
• Print work orders with builder service paperwork.
• Assign correct installer and/or Service Technician to purchase order.
• Receive labor PO once installation is complete.
• Provide status update to builder representative (i.e. complications, completions, etc.).
• Compile all order data, communication, and completed/signed paperwork to header of order.
• Field calls from Service Technicians and homeowners.
• Attend weekly administrative meetings.
• Interface with other departmental team members to solve problems that cross departments.
• Other customer service, administrative, and clerical duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, and/or PeopleSoft a plus.
• Ability to interface with business partners and across departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to provide creative solutions to real-time challenges.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Education and Experience

• Two year degree a plus, but not required.
• 2-3 years of practical customer service in the construction industry preferred.
• Floor covering experience a plus.

Other Requirements

• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
• The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
• Travel required: negligible
