The team structure at our Infusion Centers provide a clear path for growth opportunities including entry level Pharmacy Technician I, Technician II, and Specialists.

Responsibilities include:

• Monthly environmental sampling
• Competency assessment for compounding personnel
• Training of new staff
• Training of EVS staff to clean the IV rooms
• Monitoring staff compliance with proper compounding technique
• Auditing for compliance with standard work and regulatory compliance

The specialty technician will perform complex, specialized duties regarding automated dispensing machines, robotics, repackaging devices and/or are assigned leadership roles in departmental projects and programs. May periodically be responsible for performing basic pharmacy technician duties and more advanced pharmacy technician duties that may include billing and/or IV Clean Room responsibilities based on site specific needs. Works under the supervision of registered pharmacists.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Required Certification/Registration: Current Pharmacy Technician License. Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
• Education/Course(s)/Training: 5 years inpatient experience preferred 2 years of compounding, hazardous drug handling is preferred.
