Industrial Maintenance Mechanic IIThe Industrial Maintenance Mechanic II is a skilled maintenance professional responsible for independently performing preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, troubleshooting, equipment installations, and process improvements on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This position plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing production downtime, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Mechanic II is expected to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electromechanical systems with minimal supervision. This position also supports equipment upgrades, new equipment installations, preventive maintenance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), OSHA regulations, and company safety standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreventive MaintenancePerform scheduled preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems with minimal supervision.Complete preventive maintenance tasks safely, efficiently, and according to established maintenance procedures.Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and reliability concerns.Recommend preventive maintenance improvements to increase equipment reliability.Create follow-up Work Orders for deficiencies identified during inspections.Accurately document completed maintenance activities within the CMMS.Corrective Maintenance Independently diagnose and repair production equipment including:Bottle unscramblersLiquid fillersTube fillersBottle cappersCap sortersInduction sealersPressure-sensitive labelersShrink sleeve applicatorsCartonersCase packersConveyorsPumpsMixersCompressorsFacility support equipmentRestore equipment to safe operating condition while minimizing production downtime.Mechanical Maintenance Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and adjust:BearingsChains and sprocketsBeltsGearboxesShaftsRollersConveyor componentsPumpsValvesPneumatic cylindersMechanical sealsCouplingsMachine guardingPerform precision mechanical alignments and equipment adjustments.Electrical and Controls Support Assist with and independently perform maintenance involving:Electric motorsVariable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Motor startersContactorsRelaysProximity sensorsPhoto eyesLimit switchesLoad cellsSolenoid valvesBasic PLC input/output troubleshootingElectrical wiring repairs within authorized skill levelUse multimeters and electrical testing equipment to diagnose equipment faults while following electrical safety procedures.Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair:Pneumatic valvesAir regulatorsFRL assembliesAir cylindersVacuum systemsHydraulic cylindersHydraulic pumpsHydraulic valvesHydraulic hosesIdentify leaks and replace defective components as needed.Equipment Troubleshooting Independently diagnose equipment failures involving:Mechanical failuresProduct jamsConveyor trackingBottle handlingFilling inconsistenciesCap feeding issuesLabel application problemsSensor failuresPneumatic leaksHydraulic failuresElectrical faultsEquipment startup issuesApply Root Cause Analysis techniques to reduce recurring failures.
