Applicant Pool for Adjunct Faculty, Psychology Overview The primary responsibility for this position is teaching undergraduate students in psychology courses. Responsibilities Essential functions include: Develops syllabi, lesson plans, and conducts classes per schedule. Follows department guidelines and online standards when applicable. Uses technology and classroom‑management techniques. Communicates effectively via the college CMS, email, and other required systems. Creates and evaluates assignments, maintains accurate records, and reports grades. Participates in department workshops, meetings, and student assessments. Supports the college’s mission, vision, and core values. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge in psychology and integration of learning styles. Strong written and oral communication. Problem solving and critical thinking. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard, Owens email, and other required programs. Ability to integrate diverse methodologies, manage classroom, and assess student performance. Recognize strengths and weaknesses to give constructive feedback. Fair evaluation using departmental guidelines. Minimum Education/Experience: Master’s degree in Psychology or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate‑level coursework in Psychology.
