Job Skills / Requirements

At Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) , an Armed Field Supervisor acts as the operational frontline for workforce logistics, bearing direct accountability for eliminating gaps in security coverage. Because security is a 24/7 environment, their role in dictating schedules and managing open posts is dynamic and high-pressure. This role oversees security operations, manages field personnel, and responds to incidents across multiple client sites.

This position will be based out of the Lafayette area, but they will be expected to occasionally travel, as needed, to other offices and/or job sites across the company footprint. You must be able to be on call and willing to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as you will be a part of the team responsible for the operation of a department that is supporting a 24/7 operation. Commitment to and understanding of the 24/7 nature of our work is a requirement for this position.

Position Includes hourly rate of $16 paid weekly and:

Primary Job responsibilities:

• Manage staff: Oversee armed or unarmed security officers in the field.
• Conduct Inspections: Check active security posts and monitor officer performance.
• Respond to incidents: Handle emergency calls or site escalations.
• Log and Report: Maintain operational logs and report issues to management
• Acting as the first point of contact when an on-duty guard calls out or fails to show up for a shift, ensuring that guard coverage is found
• Standing Post (The Last Resort): Operating under a "working supervisor" mandate. If no replacement guard can be secured, the Armed Field Supervisor must physically step in and stand the post themselves to guarantee the client's site is never left unprotected.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Ability to pass a skills test.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• Must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly in the event of an emergency.
• Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work.
• Ability to obtain the status of license required for the position. THIS IS AN ARMED POSITION
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Clean criminal background.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.
• Valid Driver's license - clean driving record.
• Willingness and ability to work a flexible roster, 7 days a week.
• Ability to travel for work.
• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in security with one being in a supervisory role.
