Compliance Manager

Safety ManagerThe Safety Manager supports development and monitoring of the Company safety programs to minimize and eliminate events caused by unsafe acts. This position is responsible for working with all employment levels to identify, analyze, and resolve safety issues, and to address differences between the company safety programs and local, client site programs.Essential functions include:Conduct site safety assessments for new contracts, or whenever new requests for service provision are submitted by the client.Develop and assist in the implementation of the client's site safety program as related to officer assigned roles and responsibilities, and Securitas site specific safety programs including the site specific Injury Illness Prevention Program and Heat Illness Prevention Program and Post OrdersAssist in development and implementation of safety training programs for Securitas employeesAssist with accident and injury investigation, to include: determination of root cause, OSHA classification/recordability, safety precautions to prevent future similar incidents and to work with client to address and remove identified safety concerns in the workplace as related to officer assigned roles and responsibilitiesConduct site visits for the purpose of safety field observations.Interact with the security force in a manner which enhances and improves safety performance, morale and skills.Enforce and comply with all Securitas policies, Federal & State Regulations, and Client programsAssist in resolving safety concerns in a competent and responsive manner to foster and create a Safety Conscious Work Environment supportive of positive, honest, and open exchange of ideas and differing opinionsAssist with the development of Company safety goalsOther duties as assignedMinimum qualifications at entry include:Must have a reliable means of communication (i.e., pager or phone).Must have a reliable means of transportation.Must have a valid driver's license.Ability to acquire and maintain any specific special clearances/access requirementsMust be able to travel frequentlyMust have the legal right to work in the United States.Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.Must have a High School Diploma or GED.Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.Job requirements include:Must have at least eight years of experience in the fields of Industrial Safety and/or Human Performance. Industrial safety completion of OSHA Levels I and II and/or 30 hours of Human Performance/INPO training or equivalent is desired.Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university, additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of educationMust have at least four years of experience in the field dealing with MTSA and CFATS regulated facilities.Competencies include:Knowledge of security operations and human performance proceduresStrong interpersonal, writing, and communication skillsAbility to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstancesAbility to communicate through written and verbal methods in a professional mannerAbility to read and understand Federal and State governmental regulation requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and with all levels of client organizationsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt to organizational changesExcellent time management and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work with minimal supervisionStrong computer skills including Microsoft applicationsAbility to establish and build rapport with new personnel and clientsWorking conditions include:With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
