Chick-fil-A Citadel Crossing is seeking a dependable, motivated, and service-minded Delivery Lead to help lead and strengthen our delivery operation. This position combines hands-on operational responsibility with leadership, communication, and team development.

As a Delivery Lead, you will help ensure our delivery operation runs safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting our Drivers, Leadership Team, and Delivery Director.

Leadership Expectations:

• Build and maintain an excellent professional reputation and working relationship with all Team Members, with an especially strong focus on our Delivery Drivers and Leadership Team.
• Directly support the expectations, priorities, and tasks assigned by the Delivery Director.
• Communicate professionally, respectfully, and consistently with Drivers, Team Members, Shift Leads, and Directors.
• Be able to receive, understand, accept, and comply with written guidance and expectations.
• Adapt to changing procedures and expectations as we continue to develop and fine-tune the delivery channel for optimal safety, team satisfaction, operational performance, and guest experience.
• Receive coaching and feedback with a positive, respectful, and growth-minded attitude.
• Model professionalism, accountability, teamwork, urgency, positivity, and strong leadership during every shift.
• Help create a delivery culture where Drivers feel supported, respected, accountable, and equipped to succeed.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the delivery team during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate delivery orders to ensure they are prepared, assigned, staged, and dispatched accurately and on time.
• Safely and efficiently deliver Chick-fil-A orders using company-provided vehicles when needed.
• Monitor delivery times, order accuracy, food quality, and overall delivery performance.
• Coach and support Delivery Drivers while reinforcing expectations, accountability, safety, and Chick-fil-A standards.
• Assist with the training and development of new Delivery Team Members.
• Ensure Drivers arrive prepared with the proper uniform, equipment, phones, delivery bags, and other required supplies.
• Maintain Chick-fil-A hospitality standards during both in-store and delivery interactions.
• Help resolve delivery delays, missing items, incorrect orders, and guest concerns professionally.
• Communicate with Shift Leads, Directors, and the Delivery Director regarding staffing, call-outs, coverage, Driver availability, and operational concerns.
• Help coordinate breaks and shift coverage while maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Ensure company vehicles, delivery bags, equipment, and designated delivery areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Follow and reinforce all driving safety procedures, food-safety standards, delivery policies, and vehicle expectations.
• Monitor Chick-fil-A delivery systems and assist with basic troubleshooting when necessary.
• Help track delivery performance, including speed, accuracy, guest feedback, sales, safety, and other operational goals.
• Support Front of House operations between deliveries, including running orders, bagging, checking order accuracy, greeting guests, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Assist with closing responsibilities and remain available until the final Driver has safely returned when scheduled as a closing Delivery Lead.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with a valid driver's license.
• Must maintain a clean and acceptable driving record.
• Must meet all requirements necessary for delivery and base access.
• Must successfully complete required background screening.
• Must have a reliable smartphone with GPS and Bluetooth capabilities for delivery-related applications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lead, coach, and support Delivery Team Members.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written direction.
• Ability and willingness to adapt as delivery procedures, standards, and expectations continue to evolve.
• Ability to accept feedback and coaching professionally and respectfully.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Commitment to hospitality, integrity, safety, excellence, and exceptional guest service.
• Must meet the position's scheduling and availability requirements.
