We are currently searching for a Title Assistant who has a high level of integrity, are hardworking and motivated to join our team.
Position Summary
Position: Title Assistant
Classification: Full Time; Exempt
Reports To: Controller
Work Location: In person; South Houston, TX
Essential Duties include but are not limited to:
- Review vehicle titles for accuracy and completeness to include VIN, odometer reading and release of liens
- Verify acceptance of title in state for which it is filed
- Confirm negotiability of title document and report any title discrepancies
- Interact with customers, dealers and representatives of regulatory agencies in resolution of title issues
- Maintain current knowledge of DMV regulations regarding vehicle titles for each state in which vehicles are processed
- Other duties may be assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Quick learner with attention to detail
Relevant Work Experience & Other Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dealership experience preferred.
- Must meet dealerships requirements for employment which include background check and drug screening.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable based on driving record.
- Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
