Journeyman Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman or Master Industrial Electrician to support production equipment, automated manufacturing systems, and facility electrical infrastructure within a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a hands-on electrical maintenance and installation role supporting systems ranging from low-voltage controls through 600V power distribution . The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems supporting CNC equipment, robotics, PLC-controlled machinery, conveyors, presses, motors, drives, and facility infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical experience, understands the importance of production uptime, and is comfortable working independently on both power and control systems while partnering closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues on CNC machines, presses, conveyors, and automated production equipment . Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment . Support and troubleshoot industrial robotic cells, including safety circuits, controls, sensors, and end-of-arm tooling. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain motors, VFDs, servos, encoders, starters, and motor-control systems . Troubleshoot electrical systems ranging from low-voltage controls through 600V . Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, one-line diagrams, blueprints, and machine documentation. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and process power-distribution systems. Maintain and repair panelboards, MCCs, transformers, feeders, grounding systems, and bonding systems . Build, wire, install, and troubleshoot industrial control panels. Support electrical requirements for new equipment installations, production-line moves, equipment upgrades, and process changes. Work closely with engineering teams to install, integrate, and commission new manufacturing equipment and production systems. Perform preventative maintenance and emergency electrical repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions to improve reliability. Document electrical repairs, modifications, upgrades, and system changes. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to schedule, complete, and document preventative maintenance activities. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of electrical components, supplies, and replacement parts. Coordinate with outside vendors and electrical suppliers as needed. Support Continuous Improvement and equipment-reliability initiatives. Support new product and process introductions from a maintenance and electrical standpoint. Properly use electrical meters, testing instruments, gauges, and diagnostic equipment. Work around and troubleshoot equipment incorporating pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems . Mentor apprentices and assist with training maintenance personnel. Follow established Lockout/Tagout, arc-flash, energized-work, confined-space, hot-work, and elevated-work procedures . Maintain compliance with applicable electrical and workplace safety standards. Complete required industrial lift certifications. Collaborate effectively with maintenance, engineering, production, and other departments. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Required Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license recognized by the applicable state or jurisdiction. Minimum of 5 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience . Hands‑on experience working with electrical systems from low voltage through 600V . Strong experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment . Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both power and control systems . Experience working with motors, VFDs, motor controls, electrical panels, and industrial distribution equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, one-lines, blueprints, and technical documentation. Strong understanding of industrial electrical troubleshooting and electrical safety practices. Ability to safely perform Lockout/Tagout, confined-space, hot-work, elevated-work, and other industrial maintenance activities. Ability to work effectively with engineering, maintenance, and production personnel. Strong problem-solving and electrical diagnostic skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of safety and workmanship. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrical experience . Strong working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, and OSHA electrical safety requirements . Experience troubleshooting or programming industrial robotic systems. Experience with CNC machine electrical systems. Experience supporting automated manufacturing, machining, or assembly environments. Experience with PLC diagnostics, ladder logic, and industrial control systems. Experience commissioning new manufacturing equipment and production lines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
