Charge RN

Role: The Charge RN provides clinical leadership and patient-centered care within a healthcare unit, coordinating daily operations to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient services. Responsibilities: Serve as a clinical resource and role model, supervise nursing staff, oversee patient flow and bed assignments, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Participate in patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, and evaluate patient responses. Support performance improvement, regulatory compliance, infection prevention, and safety initiatives. Mentor and coach staff, foster a collaborative environment, and advocate for patients and families. Qualifications & Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, effective communication, and leadership abilities. Ability to respond calmly in urgent situations, delegate based on acuity and staff competencies, and resolve issues efficiently. Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development. Key Duties: Coordinate unit operations, support staff, manage complex patient care, promote safety and quality, and participate in team meetings.
