About This Position Speech Language Pathologist (Speech Language Pathologist) is a member of the Therapies Center team who evaluates the physical and/or cognitive needs of customers, establishes care plans, and provides or directs individualized care within the scope of practice. The role focuses on preventing further impairments, improving function, and reducing the need for additional care, while educating customers, caregivers, and families about their roles in the care plan. The Speech Language Pathologist collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team, functions across all locations, and participates in training, orientation, and quality improvement activities. Requirements Education Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Consideration given to those seeking a Clinical Fellowship who have prior graduate student experience. Experience Minimum diagnostic group, hospital‑based acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, or outpatient neurological experience during training, residency, or fellowship for new graduates. Demonstrates entry‑level competency and skills. Minimum two years of clinical experience for practicing therapists without prior experience in Therapies Center diagnostic groups. Advanced skills with specific low‑incidence or high‑risk diagnostic groups, evaluation tools, or treatment protocols preferred. Competency in accepted, evidence‑based Speech Language Pathology practice, with additional knowledge relevant to the diagnostic group or service location. Ability to balance work priorities in a rapidly changing environment, exercising clinical decision making and good judgment concerning customer experience. Works well independently within scope of practice and Therapies Center policies, procedures, and guidelines; skilled in interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to resolve conflict and advance professionalism among colleagues. Demonstrates continuous skill development and professional growth to meet customer, departmental, and organizational needs. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and comprehend non‑English languages is an added benefit. Licensure/Certification Certificate of Clinical Competence and State of MN Licensure State Requirement Class D driver’s license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record if traveling to alternate locations NMHC Standard compliance Annual proof of insurance per hospital policy if driving to alternate locations Current CPR certification or completion during orientation per NMHC Standard Additional Information Work Group: Non Contract Hours per two‑week pay period: 80 Shift: Days, 8 hours Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation Call Requirement: None Remote or On-site: On-site FLSA Status: Exempt Benefit Eligibility: Health insurance benefits available. Salary Range: N22 ($37.49 - $56.23), based on experience Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
